Business Electronic Billing Options
If you are a business customer, we offer several convenient billing options — Paperless Billing, E-Summary Billing, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), and many other programs — to help you manage your accounts as simply as possible.
Paperless Billing
If you choose to opt in for Paperless Billing you will receive your SCE invoices faster, lower your carbon footprint, and avoid late fees. With Paperless Billing you have the benefit of enhanced security since all invoices are stored behind our secure portal. You will receive an email with the direct link to your invoices. There is no need to save, scan, or print your paperless invoices. You can also access 3-years of invoices online, making it easier to find previous invoices.
How to Enroll
- Log into your MyAccount
- Click on Settings on the top-right corner
- Go to Billing & Payments
- Turn on the Paperless Billing by clicking the Off/On switch
*You may need to Verify the switch to paperless billing if you have not opted in for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

E-Summary Billing
If you are already a summary-billed customer, you can elect to receive your monthly statements via E-Summary billing. E-Summary statements are generated in a spreadsheet format as opposed to a typical SCE statement. Customers will receive an email when statements are generated providing a link to a secure shared site that will store monthly statements for retrieval at any time.
- Spreadsheet format allows you to identify statement details by line item
- Secure method to receive statements
- Eliminates lost or delayed statement receipt
- View and download statements securely for six months
- Statements accessible to multiple authorized contacts
- Receive prompt notification when statements are available

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
Electronic Billing and Payment allows customers to receive their energy bill statement using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)—a computer-to-computer exchange of Edison’s energy bill in a standard electronic format. Electronic billing enables you to:
- Access billing and energy-use information more quickly and easily
- Perform budget and trend analysis in a historical database with no data entry or paperwork required
- Expedite the payment approval process to avoid late payment charges
- Upload information directly into accounting systems
- Eliminate costly data entry mistakes
- Standardize electronic communications with all trading partners
- Eliminate bills lost or delayed in the mail
How It Works
Rather than sending the data directly to the customer, SCE uses a Value Added Network (VAN). The VAN deposits and stores data in electronic mailboxes; sorts it, and makes it ready for users to collect. Customers access their mailbox with a unique identifier to receive electronic invoices.
Customers can access data files via the VAN within 1-2 hours of invoice generation. SCE utilizes various sets dependent on the transaction.
How To Enroll
To enroll in EDI, customers have two options: they can either operate their own EDI network or utilize an authorized third-party trading partner.
