Energy Education Centers
SCE operates two Energy Education Centers (EECs) in Irwindale and Tulare, offering education and training on cutting-edge technologies. These centers provide free classes, workshops, and consultations to individuals, professionals, and aspiring clean energy workers, facilitating career growth and industry advancement.
Contractor Demand Building Program
A one-day training designed for HVAC professionals, plumbers, and installers aiming to perfect their skill in the cutting-edge technology of heat pump water heaters. This course provides a thorough exploration of installation best practices and prepares attendees to handle challenging installation scenarios with confidence
Building Decarbonization Coalition TECH Clean California
Participating Contractors are required to take these courses to complete enrollment in TECH Clean California. These videos deliver onboarding training and provide an overview of the initiative and instructions to submit TECH Clean California incentives.

California Community College’s Economic and Workforce Development (CCCEWD) Program Advanced Transportation and Logistics Center
Cerritos College is one of ten centers in California dedicated to advancing our students though education. Programs include Advanced Transportation, Renewable Energies, Alternative Fuels, and Logistics; AUTO 54: Introduction to Electric Vehicle - Students will be instructed with alternatives to gasoline powered vehicular travel and to the specific advantages of Electric Powered Automobiles.

Employment Training Panel
The Employment Training Panel funds employer-driven job skills training to support workforce pathways, business expansion, and employee retention in clean transportation technology and Zero-Emissions Vehicle jobs and apprenticeships. ETP can contract directly with private for profit California employers to upskill new and existing workers ensuring these employers can innovate and compete successfully in today’s marketplace. ETP also partners with the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, the California Workforce Development Board, the California Community Colleges, and the California Labor Federation AFL-CIO to bring sustainable training and employment opportunities to traditionally underserved Californians. The SEED (Sustainable Energy Efficiency Development) program offers training for HVAC fundamentals, electrical, and weatherization. This program is 8 weeks long or 280 hours. Career counseling & industry related job placement assistance is available.
Unite-LA STEAM Clean Tech Academy
Clean Tech Academy, targeting HS students transitioning to college for exposure, exploration, training and paid work experience through apprenticeships with IBEW for racially and culturally diverse youth cohorts. Targeting South LA young adults for historic poverty rates and 90% AA/L ethnic groups. Offers mentorship and soft skills development as well in 12- weeks program. Unique redesign to supplement gaps in traditional education system.
Women in Non Traditional Employment Roles (WINTER) Hardhat Women Equity Initiative Program
Ten weeks of hands on training and placement in high skill careers. Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program to increase female representation in construction trades
