Key Project Activities and Upcoming Events
The following list identifies key activities for Southern California Edison Company’s (SCE) Kaweah Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Project No. 298.
- December 23, 2019: SCE filed an Application for New License with FERC.
- April 15, 2020: FERC issued a Notice of Application Accepted for Filing, Soliciting Motions to Intervene and Protests, Ready for Environmental Analysis, and Soliciting Comments, Recommendations, Preliminary Terms and Conditions, and Preliminary Fishway Prescriptions.
- May 20, 2024: FERC issued a Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Assessment.
- June 12, 2024: FERC issued a Notice of Availability of Environmental Assessment and requested comments within 45 days of the notice.
- FERC is actively working to complete consultation related to the Endangered Species Act and Section 106 of the National Register of Historic Places.
