SCE is working to further reduce the threat of wildfire by burying power lines in high-risk areas. The targeted undergrounding effort will make the electrical system more reliable during extreme weather conditions by increasing protection from high winds, vegetation, and other hazards that could cause fires or power outages. This project segment will underground approximately 4.71 miles of cable in 2024-2025. Once construction begins road closures and/or encroachments may be necessary to complete the work safely and as quickly as possible.

Public Safety Consideration
Work will be primarily focused along TOPANGA CANYON BLVD. This will work will require heavy equipment and may call for temporary road closures or encroachments. Flaggers will be posted to safely direct traffic through this primary thoroughfare.
Please adhere to temporarily posted traffic regulations and yield to directions from the field crews. Doing so will ensure your and crew safety.
For the next 2 weeks, SCE will work on 12/21, 12/23, 12/27, 12/28 and 12/30, 1/3, 1/4. Construction will occur between 2828-1939 N Topanga Canyon Blvd. Once this section is completed, construction will occur between 2355-1639 N Topanga Canyon Blvd.
We have installed 20 structures (Vaults and Manholes) and have 11 remaining for the entire project. We will install an additional 6 structures between 11-19 -11-26 leaving the total remaining at 5.
