Improving Reliability in Hanford and Northeastern Kings County
The Mascot Substation Project is an important infrastructure upgrade that will enable us to safely and reliably meet the increased demand for electricity in northeastern Kings County.
Portions of the City of Hanford and northeastern Kings County
The Mascot Substation Project includes construction of a new substation, construction of approximately two miles of new, 66-kV sub-transmission lines, and installation of new fiber optic cable and communications equipment to connect the project to our existing telecommunications system. The proposed substation would include equipment to lower the voltage of electricity to 12 kV.
The project is complete.
